New Superior album (16.07.2006)

Hi! Well, again it has been quite a looong time since there have been news from our band. But now I have quite a lot to tell you.
We had to take a longer break again because of very big problems in our families. Some of us have been going through very hard times and they were even about to loose parts of the family. I don't want to spread intimate details here though. But you can believe me, it wasn't so easy. So we decided to wait until things are being solved again. It all got better in Spring this year and this was also the point of time for us to decide about the new album. And now, it's all set up and ready for action.

We will start to arrange the songs in August and September, the recordings will take place from October until the end of the year. And by the end of March we want to have it all done and ready for the release.

The album will be called -New World Order- and I can tell you that this one will be very dark and heavy. We already have quite a lot of ideas and some of them are recorded already too. The songs which have been announced in one of the last newsletters have been modified and changed quite a lot. All the things we had to go through changed our music too. So be prepared to get a kicking album from Superior again.

Even better news: We also have a label which is highly interested in releasing the album. They would like to go for a world wide release. We will get their contracts quite soon and if everything is ok with that, we will sign them and then we will have a good distribution again. I will tell you more on this topic as soon as we are a signed band.

Ok, I guess that's it for now. I will keep you updated more often from now on. Things develop around the band again and we are all quite excited about this!

SUPERIOR: German prog metal band Superior have issued the following news about the status of the band's new album, "New World Order" ...
"We have just finished the pre-production of the album and now it's time for the "fine tuning". All the songs are done, we only have to check here and there if everything is like we really want it. We have planned to enter the studio for the final recordings in early March. Until then there is still a lot to arrange. I will do the artwork myself (the front cover is already done) and we also have to do some photos for example. The album will contain at least 10 songs (we're not sure about the 11th one yet) and if I get it right, we will have more than an hour of music on this CD again. The songs became more and more heavy over time but there is still a good part of keyboards and piano in there too.

New World Order is not a concept album but still a lot of the lyrics circle around the topics of "Ultima Ratio". Religious fanatism or the last seconds of life are just two examples of topics the songs are about. So you can imagine, that the album's overall mood is quite dark and reflects the hard times we had to wade through during the past few years since our last album.

I can say that I like the new songs pretty much because they are direct reflections of our innerst selves. And yes, I can't await to have the final album in my hands.

We have already been talking about putting a little preview on our website. Maybe just one song or so... But I can't promise that yet. If we will do it, I will tell you here when the song is online."

Tiens c'est marrant mais c'est même pas sur le site officiel. Enfin bref...

Ils en mettent du temps. Je pensais même que fin 2006 l'enregistrement devait être bouclé. Mais bon ils ont eu pas mal de problèmes persos il y a quelques mois et puis ils ont des boulots à côté donc tout ça avance lentement.

Par contre je crois qu'ils n'ont pas de maison de disque...

Voila Nausicaa, depuis ce temps là, rien de rien de neuf, ils doivent avoir perdu les clés du studio

Très triste, je l'attendais avec impatience ce disque, j'espère qu'ils réussiront tous à rebondir

Ahaha j'avais trop raison.

Bon bah dommage. Ils ont sorti 3 albums de qualité, maintenant ils n'ont jamais réussi à percer réellement donc c'était prévisible.

J'avais un peu le même sentiment pour Angel Dust mais apparemment ils existent toujours.

Ouais ça fait un peu chier ça quand même!

Accessoirement le chanteur a participé aux derniers enreistrment du groupe français Chrysalys (mais pas de label)
