The formation of Rob Halford's new heavy metal band (HALFORD) is chronicled from studio to road in 5.1 surround sound. After releasing "Resurrection" (2000) HALFORD screams through a 95-city, world-wide concert tour. The band's final-tour performance at Brazil's Rock in Rio III (2001) festival in front of more than a quarter-million metal fans presents an up-close view of one of metal's hardest working and innovative bands. Halford previously laid out an ambitious release schedule for his new company called Metal God Entertainment (MGE). Halford will reissue some of his non-JUDAS PRIEST material through MGE, starting with the HALFORD albums he made in 2000, 2001, and 2002, and he's also planning two DVDs and possibly some other music for next year. Halford told Launch he started MGE so that he could better control how things are released and promoted. "We really are very possessive of what we create, and we nurture it, obviously, from conception to its release," he said. "Most labels do an incredible job, and, and that's always been the case for me, but here's an opportunity now for me to look after things a little bit better, and give me a little bit more peace of mind in that area."

Besides working on MGE projects, Halford is in the midst of writing with JUDAS PRIEST. They're making a concept album about the 16-century prophet Nostradamus.

Autant, pour défendre Painkiller, les arguments ne manquent pas, autant pour Resurrection, sorti des banalités du style "ouais youpi Halford fait à nouveau du heavy, donc c'est forcément génial", y'a pas grand chose à en dire.

Ah bah moi je préfère largement Resurection à Crucible (trop froid, lourd, j'accroche pas).

Bon c'est clair Resurection n'est pas un chef d'oeuvre, mais il y a pas de quoi le dénigrer non plus.

J'avoue que mon appréciation de Resurrection se base principalement sur la voix actuelle d'Halford (que j'aime pas trop, je l'ai déjà dit).

Si Halford avait eu un chant identique aux années 80, je l'aurais peut être apprécié ce skeud, c'est pas impossible.

J'adore Resurrection, et pas parce que ce fut "Halford revient au heavy", j'ai beaucoup aimé Two donc bon... Aucun titre mauvais pour moi, ça va du moyen à l'excellent, le très bon domine. Y a que Twist et Drive que j'aime pas vraiment, mais je ne les trouve pas mauvais pour autant.

Par contre Crucible grosse déception pour moi, comme à chaque fois qu'il nous fait un second album de ses projets (le second Fight hum hum...). Et vive la mélodie dans Crucible Je n'aime pas la prod non plus. Putain j'étais si excité quand je l'ai acheté, je suis tombé de haut! Enfin bon y a des titres que j'aime bien quand même, mais dans l'ensemble pff... c'est pas ça que je voulais de lui.
Et j'ai du mal à appeler ça du heavy metal franchement. (comme le second Fight quoi même si c'est différent).

Bon faudrais que je le réecuote, il a pas beaucoup tourné cet album, mais je me rappelle que les seul titre que j'avais aimé sont les plus semblable à résurection, "betrayal" par exemple.

Pire? War Of Words est une tuerie, A Small deadly Space est... vraiment spécial, on sent bien les années 90, Halford est calme, un peu comme sur British Steel, malgrès le gros son. Y a pas vraiment de titre qui se démarque qualitativement parlant. J'y arrive pas avec cet album. Y a un titre qui passait en clip à l'époque, son riff rappelle beaucoup celui de Symphony of Destruction.

Je ne sais pas le définir cet album, il m'échappe et ne l'aime pas vraiment. Je me le passe que lorsque je suis dans une période Halfordienne, jamais sinon. Des 5 albums studio hors Priest c'est de loin celui que j'aime le moins.

MEGA déception après War Of Words. Quand Tipton ou Downing critiquait Halford en disant qu'il foutait rien dans la compo des titres de Priest ça me fait rire, suffit d'écouter les 2 albums avec Ripper et ce putain de War Of Words justement qu'il composa entièrement pour voir ce qu'il apportait. S'en tenir qu'aux textes, j'y crois pas du tout.

Sinon Il n'a rien de power metal ce Deadly Space. DS là tu m'étonnes, tu aimes Painkiller et pas War Of Words C'est quand même assez proche dans le style hormis la prod bien sûr. Je le situe stylistiquement un peu entre Painkiller et Jugulator (bien supérieur à Jugulator d'ailleurs). Remarque je ne sais plus si t'as apprécié ou pas Jugulator... mais je le trouve plus proche de Painkiller quand même.
Deadly Space est très différent de War Of Words, il a un côté grunge je trouve malgrès les grosses guitares.

Y a des mélodies dans Crucible, mais elles sont rares, rien à voir avec Resurrection.
