Seattle's premier metal outfit NEVERMORE has opened its chamber of secrets, unveiling previously unreleased material as well as various other rarities, which will be used as bonus content for its upcoming re-releases of "Nevermore" (1995), the "In Memory" EP (1996), and "The Politics of Ecstasy" (1996), due in Europe on September 11 (September 8 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux) via Century Media Records. All three NEVERMORE classics have been given new artwork and will include extended liner notes.

Yeah !!! J'hésiterai quand même à me prendre l'éponyme que je trouve bien pourri (hormis deux morceaux), mais le reste est à ne pas rater.

Ah bah justement c'est les seuls albums que je connais pas, j'en profiterai peut-etre.

Je me prendrai le EP "In Memory", le reste je l'ai, tant pis pour les bonus.
Par contre si ils pouvaient reéditer les albums de Sanctuary, surtout Into The Mirror Black

Je n'ai pas tilté ce matin... mais pas de remasterisation en vue. Dommage.

Dommage qu'ils ne rééditent pas Dreaming Neon Black. Le son de la batterie et des guitares est ultra-aigu au point d'être crispant.

Quand bien même, ces rééditions ne bénéficient pas d'un remastering. Seulement de nvx packagings et morceaux bonus, déjà pas mal tu me diras.

Alors ces rééditions n'ont vraiment aucun intérêt

Si, les démos de Politics of Ecstasy !

Oui, je suis d'accord pour le côté collector (j'ai bien aimé les toutes premières démos incluses dans le Dark Genesis d'Iced Earth et l'édition limitée du Figure Number Five de Soilwork), mais quand même, un remaster pour ces albums est loin d'être du luxe.

après c'est une question de gros sous ... et il faut voir combien Century Media sont pres à mettre pour remasteriser ces 2 albums sachant qu'ils ont déja du remettre la main à la poche pour "refaire" enemies of Reality" ... ils comptent peut etre retabiliser ce remaster avec ces reeditions ... qui sait ?

edit : au fait c'est quoi votre probleme avec Enemies of reality ? je vois que tout le monde lui tape dessus, il est tres bien cet album ...

Il est moins "complet" que celui d'avant et celui d'après, je trouve, mais j'aime quand même beaucoup la version remasterisée, alors que j'avais vraiment horreur de l'album dans sa version originale, ce qui prouve que la qualité d'un album dépend en grande partie de sa production.

Le problème de ce disque, c'est que les trois premiers titres sont vraiment énormes (il n'y a pas de blanc entre ces titres, en plus), et que le reste, même de qualité, est néanmoins un cran en dessous.

Pas de pbs non plus avec ce Enemies que je trouve dantesque, surtout ds sa version remixée.

NEVERMORE filmed its performance at the Zeche club in Bochum, Germany Wednesday night (October 11) for its first-ever DVD, tentatively due in early 2007. The concert, which was originally slated to take place September 12 but had to be rescheduled after NEVERMORE vocalist Warrel Dane came down with an infection, featured the following setlist:

As previously reported, NEVERMORE also filmed its headlining performance on August 25 at the Studio Seven in Seattle, Washington for the upcoming DVD. The planned double-DVD set will also contain a full NEVERMORE documentary, live footage from throughout the band's career, all of their promotional videos and more extras.

NEVERMORE recently completed a European tour as the support band for DISTURBED. After their touring activity the band will be taking time off to write the follow-up to last year's critically acclaimed album "This Godless Endeavor".

Warrel Dane is collaborating with former SOILWORK guitarist Peter Wichers on material for Dane's first solo album. The CD is expected to include an appearance by Warrel's former SANCTUARY (pre-NEVERMORE) bandmate Dave Budbill (currently in ZEROCREEP) on drums. No information is presently available regarding the album's musical direction or possible release date.
