Mac quitte le groupe. Ca a l'air plus sérieux que le départ de Till.

Vocalist Andrew "Mac" McDermott has officially left U.K. progressive metallers THRESHOLD. His departure took place just a few days prior to the band's scheduled appearances at the Metalcamp and Earthshaker festivals in Slovenia and Germany, respectively, forcing the group to use its previous singer, Damian Wilson, as a last-minute replacement.

McDermott's statement on the matter reads as follows:

"Sorry it took so long to give this statement. But, I'm also sorry it took me so long to realise I had to get on with the rest of my life and eventually make a decent living. I know the timing was bad and I'm very grateful to Damian for standing in for me. Unfortunately it's absolutely impossible to live on fresh air alone. Next time you listen to a THRESHOLD album picture my girlfriend having to work overtime to make it possible for me to go on tour, not to mention all the jobs I chose to give up to continue with THRESHOLD. Once again, the timing was bad.... I was up all Friday night (July 13th) considering this and decided it was time to support my family 100%. For all the fans out there take what you have and enjoy it (I know I was devastated when LED ZEPPELIN came to an end). Thanks for all your support, all the best for THRESHOLD and THRESHOLD fans for the future."

Oui j'avais posté un truc la dessus tantot, mais je retrouve plus ou, visiblement c'est serieux, ben ça leur fera un changement de chanteur de plus

sauf que Mac, ça faisait un bout de temps qu'il faisait partie du groupe.
Ce n'est pas juste un changement, c'est un coup dur.

Oui 9 ans et 5 albums depuis le depart de Wilson en effet, ben je leur souhaite de pouvoir vite rebondir

j'ai fait une interview y a même pas deux mois et ils n'ont pas laissé penser qu'il allait se barrer cette enflure. En plus je trouvais que son chant collait parfaitement à leur zique...
Pfff maintenant ça va sentir l'interview périmée ça....

THRESHOLD's original vocalist Damian Wilson has confirmed that he will perform with the U.K. progressive metal band for all their tour dates this year following the departure of previous singer Andrew "Mac" McDermott. Damian already stood in earlier this month for the band's performances at Slovenia's Metalcamp and Germany's Earthshaker Fest.

Wilson sang on THRESHOLD's early albums "Wounded Land" and "Extinct Instinct". He is currently lead singer for the band HEADSPACE who recently supported OZZY OSBOURNE for U.K. shows, including Wembley Arena.

McDermott confirmed his departure from THRESHOLD earlier this week. In a statement he told fans that he knew the timing was bad but thanked them for all their support. He also wished the band all the best and expressed his gratitude to Wilson for standing in for him.

THRESHOLD's new album "Dead Reckoning" has received eight "Album of the Month" awards across Europe, Canada and South America. The band will tour Europe in September with a three band support featuring COMMUNIC, MACHINE MEN and SERENITY, followed by further shows and festivals including October's sold-out ProgPower USA festival.

Putain comment chuis deg. Bien que j'apprecie Damian Wilson, je trouve que c'est le chanteur le moins bon du groupe.
Le groupe perd beaucoup après ce départ.
