FREEDOM CALL/GAMMA RAY drummer Daniel Zimmermann has posted the following message on the FREEDOM CALL web site:

"I have some good news for all FREEDOM CALL fans and those who join in in the future!

"Right after the successful European tour with RAGE in March and April the band went into the sudio again to write new songs for a new FREEDOM CALL album. The songwriting is almost finished. In October we start with the drum recordings taking place in Hannover. The recordings of the whole album should be finished by the end of December. Tommy Newton is doing the final mix in January. The release will probably be in April/May 2007. The working title of the album is called 'Dimensions'!

"There will be 11 songs on 'Dimensions', [which will], style-wise, [be] closer to the 'Eternity' album, that means less experiments and many fast and melodic speed hymns!"

ça va donner, de toute façon le metal est mort, on risque plus grand chose

N'empeche, on peut cracher sur ce groupe; mais on es assuré de passer un moment sympa avec chacun de leurs albums ! Même si ca lasse vite quand meme... J'adorais "tears are falling" sur leur 1er album. Metal invasion aussi !

moi je crache pas, j'aime bien, c'est pas prise de tete et je trouve ça encore assez frais, c'est bien un des rares groupe du genre que j'apprecie encore

Rares sont les groupes de speed mélo à avoir sorti plusieurs albums impeccables. Ils en font partie (pour ceux qui cherchent, les deux autres c'est Sonata et Edguy).

L'album est finir. Sortie fin avril en théorie.

German melodic speed metallers FREEDOM CALL have issued the following update:

"Yesterday we finished the last workings in Tommy Newton's Area 51 Studios in Celle, Germany and arrived our hometown, Nuremberg, with the master tape in the bag. The new album, 'Dimensions', is READY!

"After more than seven months hard work we are totally happy with the awesome result and can't wait to introduce the new 12 songs. The official release will be probably the 20th/23rd of April 2007!"

Dommage, si l'album n'a que des speederies, je sens que ça va me gonfler assez rapidement.
J'avais bien aimé le dernier pour sa relative variété, justement.

Ced dupond a décidé de s'impliquer définitivement dans Symphorce. Pas étonnant, vu les 3 derniers albums du groupe.

Pourquoi c'est pas étonnant ?

pas étonnant dans le sens où je pense que FREEDOM CALL est en train de baisser qualitativement alors que SYMPHORCE bah c'est l'opposé.
Et puis, Ced dupond préfère peut-être du metal couillu plutôt que du speed happy metal gentillet.

German melodic metallers FREEDOM CALL have finalized the track listing for their new album, "Dimensions", due in Europe on April 23 (except Germany, where it will arrive on April 20) via SPV Records.

According to a press release, "Dimensions" is a "successful liaison of the group's basic strengths and new, contemporary influences." Or, as drummer Daniel Zimmermann puts it, "Even if the two predecessors, 'Eternity' and 'The Circle Of Life', took very different directions, both albums had a number of strong moments. 'Dimensions' combines the most successful elements from both albums, in other words: we included our penchant for fast and very melodic numbers from 'Eternity' with the more contemporary, bombastic components of 'The Circle Of Life'."

Four of the 11 songs on "Dimensions" were penned by the band's latest additions, Lars Rettkowitz (guitar) and Armin Donderer (bass); the other seven were written and composed, as usual, by Chris Bay and Daniel Zimmermann.

Most of "Dimensions" was recorded at the FC studios in Nuremberg. The drum parts were cut at the Area 51 in Celle by Daniel Zimmermann with the help of Tommy Newton (HELLOWEEN, KAMELOT, VICTORY), who also mixed and mastered "Dimensions". The cover artwork was designed by Paul Raymond Gregory (SAXON, MOLLY HATCHET, BLIND GUARDIAN).
