The Whitesnake album remaster programme is under way. The first batch will include
"Trouble" (first issued in 1978),
"Lovehunter" (from late 1979) and
"Ready An' Willing" from June 1980. Jon Lord is also on all three albums, while Ian Paice had joined in time for the latter.
There were plans to issue the two live Hammersmith shows from 1978 and 1980 (which were cobbled together in 1980 to make "Live In The Heart Of the City") in full as separate releases; fingers crossed this is still the case.
The titles are all being co-ordinated by David Coverdale himelf and they're looking at
mid-May as a start date. The bonus tracks have not been finalised yet, but the listing here is what they are hoping to include and we'll update you on any changes.
• WHITESNAKE – TROUBLE. Bonus tracks: Come On / Bloody Mary / Steal Away / Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City (all from Snakebite E.P.) / When You Go Down For The First Time (previously unreleased)
• WHITESNAKE – LOVEHUNTER. Bonus tracks: Belgium Tom's Hat Trick / Love To Keep You Warm / Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City / Trouble (all from BBC Radio Session 29/3/79, and previously unreleased)
• WHITESNAKE - READY AN' WILLING. Bonus tracks: Love For Sale (previously unreleased) / Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City / Mistreated / Lovehunter / Breakdown (all from Reading Festival '79).
Finally there have been discussions about a
Whitesnake DVD collection which will hopefully round up all the promo videos, although so far this seems to concentrate on the post-1984 and Coverdale / Page material.
