The long-awaited follow-up to 2016 album "Brotherhood Of The Snake" was once again recorded with Juan Urteaga and mixed by veteran British producer — and current JUDAS PRIEST touring guitarist — Andy Sneap. The cover artwork for "Titans Of Creation" was created by artist and longtime collaborator Eliran Kantor, who has previously worked with ICED EARTH, SODOM, HATEBREED, SOULFLY and THY ART IS MURDER, among many others. As of yesterday morning, Chuck and Tiffany Billy’s tests have come back positive as well as some crew members. We wanted to reach out to everyone who has been supporting us and expressing concern to inform you that we are doing what’s right, and what’s safe, and have all been quarantining ourselves since our return home; since before we were even tested. We are of course concerned for our families, our friends, our crew, our fellow musicians, and our fans. We’ve reached out to support our fellow Bay Area Bands who are also being proactive in their own camps, staying quarantined and safe, and will speak on their individual situations if and when they are ready to. At this moment we are currently focused on staying safe and quarantined, resting, getting ourselves back to health, and of course, sending well wishes, prayers, and positive energy towards our friends who are also sick. We also want to send well wishes to all of our fans and supporters in this time of crisis. We’re taking all the necessary steps to stay safe at home and we ask our friends and fans to do the same. Please take care of each other, and stay healthy so we can continue to thrash in the not so distant future! -TESTAMENT" Pour ceux qui ne comprendraient pas l'anglais, pour résumer: TESTAMENT est revenu d'une tournée européenne la semaine dernière. Comme certains dans le groupe ne se sentaient pas bien, ils ont décidé avec leurs docteurs de faire un test pour le covid-19. Hier matin les résultats de Chuck BILLY et sa femme Tiffany sont revenus positifs ainsi que ceux de membres de l'équipe.... D'un autre côté, je trouve aussi que certains groupes ont été irresponsable à continuer leur tournée alors qu'il savait que la situation devenait de plus en plus craignos... Mais bon c'est leur gagne pain...

Le groupe évoque un souci d’emploi du temps entre les projets du musicien et le calendrier du groupe pour les tournées à venir, tout en précisant que la séparation s’est effectuée sans animosité. Voici la déclaration du groupe : « Tout d’abord, nous sommes extrêmement reconnaissants d’avoir eu Gene Hoglan derrière notre trône de batterie pendant dix ans, plusieurs albums et d’innombrables dates de tournée. Malheureusement, les tournées supplémentaires et les projets solo de notre frère Gene en 2022 entrent en conflit de manière insurmontable avec les dates reprogrammées de Testament après deux ans de temps perdu à cause de la pandémie. Plutôt que d’obliger Testament à reporter ses dates (encore une fois) ou Gene à annuler ses propres projets, nous avons décidé de nous séparer à l’amiable. Nous comprenons que cette annonce va provoquer une certaine déception, mais rassurez-vous : Il n’y a pas de drame, seulement les meilleures vibrations entre nous. Alors que Gene entame un nouveau chapitre, nous le remercions du fond du cœur d’avoir apporté les rythmes de batterie les plus puissants à Testament et au heavy metal. Nous ne doutons pas qu’il continuera à le faire comme lui seul peut le faire. Gene Hoglan fera toujours partie de la famille et nous vous demandons à tous de vous joindre à nous pour lui souhaiter la meilleure des chances pour l’avenir ! Soyez également assurés que nous continuerons à fournir une autre addition de premier ordre à Testament et que nous le révélerons bientôt ! An original member of thrash metal legends SLAYER, Lombardo was the guest drummer on TESTAMENT's 1999 studio album "The Gathering", which also marked the first time the band worked with then-up-and-coming British producer/engineer Andy Sneap.
